Section Board

Board Responsibilities and Positions

The responsibility for governing the New England Section of AWWA rests with a volunteer Board of Trustees, operating according to the set of bylaws and working in close collaboration with the Executive Director to set strategic direction, provide necessary resources, and make key decisions for implementation by Section staff and volunteers to meet member needs.

As a non-profit organization, the duties of the trustees fall into three categories — duty of care, duty of loyalty and duty of obedience.
