Call for Abstracts
One Water, One Future

All members of the New England Section are actively engaged and play a vital role in safeguarding the region’s waterways and municipal water supplies.
Suggested Topics Include but are not limited to:
- Communicating value to diverse audiences
- Engaging stakeholders
- Strategic communications about: source water protection; emerging contaminants
- Infrastructure funding
- CERCLA management techniques
- Stormwater management
- Wastewater reuse including solids disposals
This program is designed to engage all professionals who contribute to shaping our industry, including engineers, manufacturers, regulators, public relations specialists, scientists, and students. We encourage presentations that emphasize collaboration and inclusiveness.
Format:
You will be able to identify the format for your presentation:
- Individual Presentation (30 min)
This format allows one or two speakers to present project details, research findings, innovative technologies, or industry insights. The session includes a 25-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute Q&A, offering a platform for experts to share breakthroughs, best practices, and emerging trends. - Panel Discussion (60 min)
A moderated discussion featuring 3–5 experts who provide diverse perspectives on a critical water issue, or collaborators on a project. Panelists share insights, discuss key challenges, and respond to audience questions. This interactive format fosters dialogue, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of complex topics. For Panel Discussions the moderator will be considered the presenter and panelists listed in the abstract. If you do not know names of panelists, please provide descriptions of their job function ((i.e. Health Department Official, Conservation Coordinator, etc…). - Case Study (30 min)
A deep dive into a real-world water project, challenge, or innovative solution. This session highlights practical applications, lessons learned, and measurable outcomes. Ideal for showcasing successful implementations of innovative projects, new technologies, policy changes, or community-driven initiatives. A brief Q&A follows to engage attendees in discussion.

- One Presentation Rule: Each speaker may present only once during the conference.
- Commitment to Present: Submission of an abstract is a firm commitment to attend and present.
- Limit on Commercial Content: Presentations should focus on knowledge-sharing and industry advancements, avoiding overt commercial promotion.
